Fixing Tammi’s Dicky Knee – Luxating Patella, Wedge Trochleoplasty and Tibial Transposition

Tammi had a grade 4 medial luxating patella. This is where the knee cap does not run in the groove of the knee – the trochleargroove but is dislocated permanently medially (on the inside of the knee).

This is painful and was causing chronic and severe lameness in poor Tammi who was only one yeard old.

Dr Rob was able to fix this.

Here’s what it looked like before

The patella is now running in the groove in the centre of the stifle (knee)
