We chose a unique path to create a happy work place and to create an atmosphere of caring, of loving and of friendship for our patients and our clients.
We chose a happiness centred business because when people are happy in the present, their brains undergo what is known as a happiness advantage. Intelligence rises, creativity rises and energy levels rise. People are happier. Our staff enjoy our work place which means your pet gets executive care. It has been proven that doctors are more likely to make the correct diagnosis if they are in a happy place.
Let me introduce our team and our happiness centre.
Dr. Torben Holm BSc BVMS
I graduated from Murdoch University School Of Veterinary Studies in 1998. Since then I have worked in mixed animal and small animal practices.
In December 2007 I joined the Australind Veterinary Hospital. I find the diversity of patients and conditions along with the constant evolving knowledge within Veterinary medicine a truly rewarding aspect of being a Veterinarian.
Dr Sonia Benwath
I graduated from Murdoch University in 2015. I’ve lived in Perth for most of my life, and have owned and cared for a range of animals including a Pomeranian, that I considered my sister, cats, hermit crabs, fish and birds. I love people and I love animals, so really being a vet is the perfect job for me!
Outside of work I enjoy sewing, spending time with family and friends and travelling. My last adventure took me to South Africa last year. While I was there I kissed a hippopotamus and worked with various African wildlife including Rhinos and Elephants. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies the next time you visit!

Through my passion for travel, I found myself in Australia in 2015, working and travelling the East Coast.
I simply fell in love with the country and l have since moved to Bunbury and proudly joined the Australind Vet team!
I truly enjoy working with this team to give your furry friends the best possible care. Keeping your companions happy and healthy is the best reward.

Hi my name is Trista.
I have the pleasure of being the Practice Manager at Australind Veterinary Hospital and part of this amazing team. I can’t express how honoured I am to work with some of the most caring and intelligent people I have ever met. To work with people, who strive every day, to heal and comfort is such a blessing and I am so proud to be part of this industry. You will often find me sneaking a cuddle with our furry clients while they visit us.
I love my family, pets and pineapples. I am the mother to 3 amazing children and have a wonderful husband who allows a menagerie of animals to roam the halls of our house.
I can’t wait to meet you all, our furry and non-furry clients!
Hi my name is Amanda and I am the head vet nurse here at Australind Vets. I am a qualified veterinary nurse and hold a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. I am a dedicated and committed veterinary nurse who takes great care of my patients and fellow nurses. I am a very happy person and love working with animals. I enjoy coming to work every day to play with all my furry friends.
Hi my name is Veronica and I am a vet nurse here at Australind Vets. I co-ordinate puppy preschool and take the walking group on Tuesdays. I like the wild life, the babies, the technology and when an intriguing case comes in. I like learning and enjoy the challenge. My favourite game is guessing what breeds are in a ‘mixed breed’ dog and the history behind breeds of all the animals.
Hi my name is Mandy and I am a trainee nurse here at the Australind Veterinary Hospital. After raising 4 children and working in the hospitality industry for the past 15 years, I thought it was time for a new challenge. I jumped at the opportunity to be working with a great group of people….and of course the adorable animals.
Hi my name is Tiarna, I
have recently completed year 12 and am now working in my dream job as a veterinary nurse. I’m also currently working on my Certificate IV. I’ve always loved animals and grew up with pets so it is great being able to work with animals every day. I also enjoy reading, camping, fishing, spending time with my dog Eppi and hanging out with friends.
Hi my name is Leticia and I am a nurse here at the Australind Veterinary Hospital.
I enjoy spending time with my family, catching up with friends and just generally hanging-out with my furry family members.
Getting to work with such a great group of people is wonderful, but following my passion of helping to heal animals is the icing on the cake. Ever since I was young I wanted to work with animals and it has been incredible to have that lifelong dream fulfilled at the Happiness Centre.
I strive to provide the best care for you and your animals and can’t wait to meet you all.

Hi my name is Narelle and I am the head receptionist here at the Australind Veterinary Hospital. My background is in vet nursing and so my qualifications and experience come in very handy. I have three boys along with a menagerie of pets including Lola the dog, Jasper and Robbie the cats, and a variety of birds and fish.
Hi my name is Josie and I am one of the friendly
receptionists at Australind Veterinary Hospital. I was born & raised in Bunbury and have also raised my family here. As a people person, I am a great believer in enjoying life in whatever you pursue.
I get great enjoyment meeting and greeting our clients and their pets. To me family is a priority and our pets are members of our family, which makes my job rewarding to see the pets with their owners in a loving way.
I have over thirty years experience in customer service and enjoy coordinating the events and promotions here at Australind Vet Hospital as they are lots of fun and allow me to use my creative talents.
Hello! My name is Jasmine and you’ll most often find me by Narelle’s side as one of the Receptionists here at the Australind Veterinary Hospital.
I’ve come from a working background unrelated to the animal world, so it’s exciting to learn about each amazing creature that comes through the door. Having spent a few years in Europe as an au-pair, I’ve learnt what it means to love and enjoy each day – the simple and wonderful things in life.
One of my greatest privileges is to be a part of this amazing and loving team. I look forward to meeting you!
